Aerial Yoga

Aerial Yoga combines yoga, Pilates, dance, and acrobatics using a silk hammock to enhance flexibility, strength, and balance while supporting deep stretches and spinal decompression.

Aerial yoga presents a fun and acrobatic fusion, intertwining traditional yoga postures with gravity-defying movements suspended in fabric hammocks, elevating flexibility and strength in a playful practice.

Often called Anti Gravity yoga or Flying Yoga, blends traditional yoga, Pilates, dance, and acrobatics using a suspended silk hammock. This dynamic practice helps improve flexibility, strength, and balance by offering unique support for deeper stretches, inversions, and spinal decompression.

The silk hammock, crafted from durable, stretchy fabric, acts as a prop to enhance poses, making it accessible for beginners while challenging for advanced practitioners. It’s a fun and transformative way to boost fitness, relieve tension, and explore movement beyond the mat.

Benefits of Aerial Yoga

  • Improved flexibility: The hammock allows for deeper stretches and increased range of motion.
  • Increased strength: Aerial Yoga engages muscles throughout the body, especially the core, arms, and legs.
  • Decompression of the spine: Inversions performed in the hammock help to lengthen the spine and relieve pressure on the vertebrae.
  • Stress relief: The fluid movements and focus on breath in Aerial Yoga can promote relaxation and mental well-being.
  • Enhanced balance and coordination: Practicing poses in the hammock challenges stability and proprioception.
